As a Marine Engineer currently serving as a Third Engineer at Gearbulk, I am dedicated to the efficient and safe operation of critical shipboard systems. My core responsibilities include overseeing main engines and auxiliary machinery, ensuring peak performance and reliability both at sea and during port maneuvers.In addition to my watchkeeping duties during Unmanned Machinery Space (UMS) periods and maneuvering operations during port arrivals and departures, I am responsible for executing the preventive maintenance schedule (PMS) for all engine room machinery. This involves planning and performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs with a strong commitment to safety and operational integrity.I have extensive hands-on experience with drydocking procedures, including major overhauls of main and auxiliary engines, turbochargers, and boiler surveys, ensuring all systems meet high operational standards and regulatory compliance. I am also skilled in inventory management and procurement, ordering spare parts as needed for scheduled jobs, and supporting annual budget planning through efficient stock and cost management.With a well-rounded technical foundation and proven experience in both routine and intensive maintenance tasks, I am committed to upholding the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and compliance in marine engineering.
