- Led the implementation of a data pipeline for training and inference data, supporting the ML models behind our Job Recommendations service. Leveraged technologies such as Apache Airflow, Amazon Redshift, and AWS Lambda.- Implemented several performance enhancements to the Job Recommendations service, enabling it to be accessed directly from the HeyJobs home page in addition to email. These improvements successfully reduced the p95 latency from over 1.5 seconds to under 500 milliseconds.- Devised and led a cross-team initiative to re-architect our Search service in order to remove a network hop through the monolith. This simplified the architecture and reduce p95 latency by >200ms.- Bootstrapped the event-driven architecture within Heyjobs now used by three teams. I presented the project to the R&D team and helped other engineers utilise the new system.
