Holding B.S. and M.S. degrees in Photonics and Optical Informatics from ITMO University, Saint Petersburg, Russia, I graduated with honors in 2012 and 2014 respectively. I furthered my academic journey at ITMO, completing my Ph.D. in Physics and Mathematics in 2017.Over the past decade, my work has centered on multi-purpose oxide optical glasses and glass ceramics. I specialize in photosensitive cerium-doped glass ceramics (PTR glass), highly cerium-doped glass scintillators and rare earth-doped silicate and phosphate glasses. These materials play pivotal roles in holography, magneto-optics, high-energy particle visualization, and illumination. My research interests include development of novel glass compositions and fabrication methods as well photochemistry, thermochemistry, and energy transfers within activated glasses and ceramics.One of my standout studies highlighted the luminescence properties of silver molecular clusters in PTR glasses. I showed their promise for various applications, including light-emission, photovoltaics, information storage, and sensing. I've also pioneered a novel PTR glass with a positive refractive index change following UV irradiation and heat treatment, and showed the way for its use in hologram recording, waveguide structures, and lasing applications.My expertise extends to the controlled crystallization of various glasses, making significant contributions in optical, sensing, illumination, and microfabrication arenas. Serving as a key researcher at the College of Optical Sciences, I've developed robust paramagnetic magneto-optical and bright highly Ce3+ doped silicate scintillating glasses. My proficiency also includes the production of heavy metal oxide glasses.My body of work is evidenced in 15 peer-reviewed journals, garnering over 400 citations. Currently a permanent U.S. resident, I continue to contribute to the progression of optical sciences.
