• 10 years experience of FPGA and CPLD schematic and layout design, simulation, verification (testbenches), timing analysis, code coverage and constraining in Xilinx ISE / Altera Quartus II and ModelSim development and debugging environment;• Highly proficient with VHDL and Verilog HDL languages,• Expert ability on interacting with peripherals and components such as microprocessors, SRAM and DDR/DDR2 SDRAM memory chips, EEPROMs, timers, comparators, video converters, ADC and DAC converters, UART, PWM, BOR, etc.;• Extensive experience with a number of embedded processors from 8 bit to 32 bit from the major suppliers including Texas Instrument, Freescale, Intel, Microchip, Atmel, Silicon Labs;• Detailed knowledge and implementation experience of numerous interface standards including: LVDS, PCI, Ethernet, ARINC, I2C, SPI, RS485 / 422 / 232;• Solid background in mathematics, hand on experience with mathematical modeling and data treatment tools including: MatLab / Simulink, Origin;• In depth understanding of a range of C, C++, Assembler embedded development tools such as Metrowerks Code Warrior, TI Code Composer Studio, Microchip MPLAB, etc.;• DSP algorithm and Video processing algorithm implementation experience;• Competent use of hardware debugging and troubleshooting tools such as JTAG, ICD, BDM and lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, logic / spectrum analyzers;• Practical knowledge of firmware quality certification process and documentation development,• Excellence schematic and PCB design understanding; ORCAD Capture;• Bug-tracking system: Mantis• RTOS: Linux,• OS: MS Windows XP/7, MS Office products, MS Visio, CVS/SVN
