Returned to my middle school to design and teach my very own Challenge Math & Chess classes, with a particular focus on building students' logical reasoning skills and making problem-solving exciting and fun. Spent dozens of hours creating engaging, intuition-driven lesson plans exposing kids to a broad range of mathematical topics typically reserved until university, including game theory, number theory, proof-writing, and mathematical logic.At the same time, used my 10+ years of competitive chess experience to create a chess curriculum robust enough to overcome the challenges of teaching dozens of children with wildly varying levels of patience, interest, and experience.
