I joined AND as part of a rescue package from a Dutch private equity investor, Indofin Group at a time when AND was in financial distress. In my capacity as CFO I was part of the turnaround process whereby we repositioned the company, restructured the organization, its operations and redefined our value proposition. Eventually we cleaned up the balance sheet, relaunched the stock, retired all debt and created a firm which is profitable today.

The Indofin Group is a Dutch family-owned investment group, providing active private equity and venture capital through minority and majority holdings in the USA, Europe and Asia. Indofin sources underwrites and manages private equity investments in both old and new economies such as real estate, energy services, shipping, natural resources, technology and media.I concentrated on the group’s direct investment portfolio by managing value enhancement projects in corporate strategy development, investment analysis for first & second round funding in both ‘old’ and ‘new economy’ projects.My paramount engagement at Indofin was at AND International Publishers N.V, a publicly listed software company, where Indofin furnished investment and management recovery services during AND's financial distress in 2000. Delta is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cebeco, a Dutch agrifood group with annual sales of over EURO 5,0 bn. I was recruited to lead a strategic investment project, after having arranged a joint-venture between Delta and my former group, Euromill, in Thailand. At Delta I headed the corporate finance team in buying-out the production operations of a top-tier food multinational. On a day-to-day basis I worked as holding controller, working with a team of local controllers at DDF’s five subsidiaries in the Netherlands, UK, USA and Canada.

At Euromill I worked in a six-person “family office” which originates, monitors, and controls the direct investment activities of a branch of one of the most internationally active Thai-Chinese families. The families’ interests ranged from real estate, trade and industrial manufacturing into consumer foods, banking & insurance and technology.I was involved in a variety of transactions of the Group including acquisitions, divestitures and new joint-venture formations and administered reorganizations and recapitalizations in both domestic (Thai) and cross-border situations involving the US, Vietnam and various European jurisdictions.
