MS SQL Server administration and maintenance functions of production, development, staging, and QA environments.Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.Monitor database system details within the database, including stored procedures and execution time, latency, waits, deadlocks, blocking and implement efficiency improvements.Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.Backup and restore databases as necessary.Comfortable in setting up and managing all the backup and recovery strategies.Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.Responsible for configuration of database alerts, maintenance plans and scripts.Manage database security and control access permissions and privileges.Resolve production database issues with team members and implement improvements to prevent a recurrence of the issue.Work with application development staff to develop database architectures, coding standards, and quality assurance policies and procedures.Work on JIRA for Tickets.
