The symposium Politics of Space brought together boundary-crossing experiences of researchers and practitioners, architects and artists, and invited to explore together how political issues are intertwined with processes of spatial production at different levels: from smallest spatial units and our relationships in the domestic environment to the agreements that shape regions and geopolitical territories.The event sought to deepen the understanding of architecture as a practice of the politics of space (raumpolitik) and its potential in changing social and economic structures in relation to questions such as gender equality, social inclusion, decolonisation, reduction of climate change and other.The symposium continued as an exhibition at gallery Atletika, showcasing the participants’ research and artworks, including unique work produced for the event.

The Lithuanian Space Agency (LSA) is an organisation that researches space architecture and gravitational aesthetics. The agency takes the radical and unique experiences of space to redefine who we are and what we can know and imagine.

Educational creative workshops “Centre Axis” for Vilnius Museum, in cooperation with Architektūros fondas and the Sigh(t) collective. Workshops for high school students are a supplement to the exhibition of unrealised twentieth-century Vilnius projects, inviting participants to get involved in different periods of the time and to familiarise themselves with the social, political and urban situations of twentieth-century Vilnius. By studying and analyzing visions of the axis of Vilnius centre - Tauras Mountain, Lukiškės Square and the right bank of Neris in the 20th century, students assume the role of designers and offer their insights, thus forming the history of Vilnius development into a completely new path.

EASA (European Architecture Students Assembly) is a network of architecture students from all over the continent. Every summer the assembly is held in a different country, where around 500 creative minds live together in a self-sustaining, community-like setting. The event takes place over two weeks and includes lectures, building and theoretical workshops, as well as other cultural and architectural endeavors. EASA acts as a platform for the exchange of social, architectural and cultural experiences. The main focus of the summer assembly is its workshops, in which around 30 groups of students work on different projects for the duration of the 2 week program. EASA workshops are diverse and varied, ranging from the discussion of hypotheses and concepts, to photography of local people and places, to performance art, to the construction of small pavilions and installations.EASA was first organized in 1981 by two innovative architects – Geoff Haslam and Richard Murphy. The first assembly was called ‘Liverpool Workshops’, taking its name from the English city in which it was held. Architecture students and young professionals were invited by sending a bunch of letters to universities and architecture schools throughout Europe. Around 200 people responded to the invitation and participated in the event. The main goal of the first EASA was to exchange knowledge and practices of the different architecture education systems in Europe.
