DaaS combines top open-source DPGs with pre-trained technology service providers to create ready-to-deploy DPI packages for pilots. It includes program and policy guidance to reduce deployment time, allowing countries to quickly test pilot projects using a pre-built package.

As a member of the board of directors at Gaia-X, I'm steering a leading initiative that develops digital governance based on European values that can be applied to any existing cloud/edge technology stack to obtain transparency, controllability, portability and interoperability across data and services.Gaia-X enables and boosts the creation of data spaces through trusted platforms that comply with common rules, allowing users and providers to trust each other on an objective technological basis, to safely and freely share and exchange data across multiple actors.Gaia-X welcomes all businesses and organisations, from the user or provider side, to collaborate and join forces to construct the EU’s next generation of data space infrastructure.

Since 2017, I have been responsible for the day-to-day management of the Nordic Institute for Interoperability Solutions (NIIS), a non-profit association with the mission to ensure the development and strategic management of digital government solutions.I started with NIIS by establishing the institute for the governments of Estonia and Finland. Next, I recruited the team, and in 2018, we started developing X-Road® open-source software, our flagship product. Today, the republics of Estonia, Finland and Iceland are members of NIIS, and the Faroe Islands and the Government of Åland are partners of NIIS.In 2017, X-Road was used in a few countries, with a developer community of less than a hundred people. Today, X-Road is deployed in over 25 countries and has a community of over 3,400 people in over 160 countries. It has hundreds of millions of end users worldwide.In addition to new software features, the NIIS team has contributed to X-Road's usability and adaptability by introducing new solutions to support users, such as enhanced documentation, developer resources, online training, technical playground, bug bounty, and cost and emissions calculators.The global X-Road Community uses Slack to discuss and provide peer-to-peer support. NIIS has established a Community Expert Group to ensure community members are involved in core development. The annual X-Road Community Event gathers X-Road enthusiasts worldwide to participate online. X-Road Technology Partners are providing commercial services for organisations seeking support with X-Road.NIIS also develops the Harmony eDelivery Access®, a free and open-source solution for joining eDelivery networks. Besides that, NIIS participates in research that supports its strategic objectives.

Stewarded by the United Nations, the DPI Safeguards initiative is a multi-stakeholder effort towards ensuring a safe and inclusive digital society. Diverse stakeholders contribute through open dialogue and feedback, which will shape the development of the DPI Safeguards Framework. I was a member of an expert advisory group established to assess the initial phase of the Nordic Smart Government 3.0 program and to give expert advice to the project management, contributing to the program's development, efficiency and results.The vision of the NSG&B is to create value for the SMEs by making real-time business data accessible and usable for innovation and growth across the region in an automatic, consent-based and secure manner.

I was responsible first for the service sector and then the industrial sector business unit of Siili Solutions Plc (Nasdaq: SIILI). My primary responsibilities included forecasting and developing the business on the business unit level, tracking revenues, gross margins, and EBITDA, and defining recruitment and subcontracting priorities to support growth. I monitored customer satisfaction and the overall status of cooperation, teams, 100+ consultants, and deliveries, and ensured that we met or exceeded our clients' expectations. In addition to modern software integration and developing digital businesses and services, Siili's growth was supported by emerging trends such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Everything (IoE) and augmented reality.

I was a management board member with P&L responsibility at Soprano Plc's Estonian subsidiary, Pipfrog.Soprano Pipfrog was an e-commerce SaaS solution intended for growth-oriented entrepreneurs – the software scaled up with the client from a start-up to a substantial business. Hundreds of online retailers in 14 different countries actively used the Pipfrog software.Pipfrog also provided company-specific, multi-channel, tailored e-commerce solutions on Magento, order systems and background integrations. I planned and profitably led a transition in Pipfrog's business strategy from offering e-commerce SaaS platforms to primarily providing e-commerce consultancy services.

As the COO at Soprano Plc (Nasdaq: SOPRA), I led the operations of our software businesses, holding P&L responsibility and ensuring every company aligned with the group's objectives. My daily involvement spanned from overseeing operations to ensuring optimal resource allocation.The e-commerce subsidiary Soprano Commerce crafted multichannel e-commerce solutions for a diverse and international client base using Magento open-source software. My leadership focused on encouraging collaboration and positioning the company as a trusted advisor in the e-commerce domain, ensuring our solutions exceeded expectations and set new benchmarks in digital retail.Lemonline provided solutions for payment traffic, logistics and payment methods, price comparison and product catalogues. Lemonline's products included Magento add-ons for logistics services, post parcel machines, and online checkout for banks, credit institutions and payment intermediaries.The digital services and web development company Soprano Digital delivered top-notch websites and digital services utilising various technologies and content management systems, such as Drupal and WordPress.Soprano Plc transferred its software companies to operations for sale in 2015. I participated in M&A processes before deciding to move on.
