Hi there and welcome to my profile! 👋🏼Am I a new-generation yuppie if I’m supporting growth hacking mentality? Probably. As a matter of fact, there’s a valid insight behind the term that Sean Ellis popularized back in 2010. In the world of data and algorithms, we should take advantage of them and think like a hacker.Business-wise, I like the idea of challenging conventions and generating growth at the same time. For me it means that marketing decisions shouldn’t be based on previous experiences only. Hypotheses must be tested. In the digital era, it’s rather easy because we have cost-effective tools and how-to-content only a few clicks away.I'm Ville and I consider myself as a lifelong learner. My interest in growth hacking started to develop already at my previous workplaces where I got the chance to combine marketing communications knowledge with digital platforms. In recent years, academic studies, performance marketing and omni-channel projects have nurtured my skills and interest more towards results and continuous development. In my previous roles, I’ve been responsible for maintaining the content side of e-commerce which have helped me to understand the elements of the purchase funnel and customer journeys. The daily usage of Google Analytics has gave me a comprehensive understanding of the data literacy and improved my analytical reasoning. As an actual testing tool, I’ve used Visual Web Optimizer for running heat maps and A/B tests to better understand customer behavior on the digital channels. My current role has given me a lot of space to grow as a professional and T-shape myself ever further. Job in an advertising agency demands creative ideas everyday. It also teaches resilience because not every ideas can be executed. Working in multiple client projects across various industries have helped me to think systemically and take into consideration for example brand assets. In the agency nothing works in isolation so thorough communication and constant cooperation with different stakeholders comes naturally to me.In my opinion, performance marketing has been a perfect platform for learning how to apply the growth hacking principles. Channels are constantly changing and adding new features so there are lot of room for iterative experimentation. In the future, I’d like to help business with similar mindset to grow with build-measure-learn cycle.📧 ville.ylitalo@grundlage.fiThings that interest me:• Growth hacking• SEO• Performance marketing• Web development & E-commerce• Conversion optimization• Storytelling• AI & Automation
