The Virtual Innovation in Modeling the Architecture and the City lab (VIMAC) is a technological reference at the Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB) of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC). It has the most advanced technology and methodologies to carry out technological innovation projects in the fields of Architecture, Heritage and Urbanism, applying digital systems of Geo Information, Digital Cartography, Topography, Terrestrial Laser Scanner (TLS) Surveys and Photogrammetry, aiming at the elaboration of maps, plans, 3D models and interactive applications, based on the treatment of parameterized georeferenced data, that enable the visualization of historical, heritage, architectonic and urban elements.It has a wide expertise on the development of architectonic documentation of singular buildings and urban historical areas. As well as on urban and territorial studies based on the analysis of georeferenced data bases (maps of localization of activities, of social and residential characterization, among others).
