As a dedicated Software Tester with a focus on cryptocurrency products at Deriv, I specialize in creating comprehensive test cases and executing rigorous testing procedures to ensure successful feature releases. My role involves monitoring key elements throughout the development pipeline, ensuring that each component meets our high standards before going live.In addition to testing responsibilities, I thoroughly understand stakeholder requirements and how end users interact with our products to ensure that top most end user satisfaction is achieved. Throughout the program, trainees engage with various tech teams and complete comprehensive modules covering the full software development lifecycle. These modules include:1. Product Design: Participants learn to create interactive and user-friendly interfaces using tools like Figma for prototyping and user story development.2. Frontend and Mobile Development: Hands-on experience is gained through development with React Native for mobile websites and Flutter Dart for mobile app development, including API integration.3. Backend Development: Trainees build backend APIs, facilitating communication for frontend interactions.4. DevOps: Participants learn deployment strategies on AWS and Google Cloud Services from certified trainers.5. Engineering Infrastructure: Understanding how systems communicate to deliver a cohesive website experience is a key focus.6. Trading Fundamentals: Participants gain insights into the basics of trading and relevant calculations.7. Software Testing: Participants receive hands-on experience in both manual and automation testing. They test and identify bugs in a provided system using manual techniques and automation tools, such as Test Project for mobile automation and Selenium for web automation.In addition to technical skills, the program emphasizes the development of soft skills such as communication, collaboration, and problem-solving, drawing from principles established by Harvard Business Review. As the culmination of the program, participants engage in the Developer Readiness Challenge (DRC), where they form teams of five to develop a website or mobile application. This challenge tests their comprehensive understanding of frontend, backend, DevOps, and testing principles acquired throughout the program, allowing them to showcase their skills in a real-world project.
