I joined the Information Security world in 1996 during my studies in Computer Science, Information Security was also the subject of my thesis in 1998 and it was the reason why in 1999 I started to work in Cap Gemini. After some short activities with client like Unim Immobiliare and two startup (Mover and Dix.it) I started in September 2000 a wide unique experience in a big international project.From September 2000 I'm supporting the European Space Agency for all the security issues related to the Internal Space Station European Ground Segment and ATV (Automated Transfer Vehicle) Ground Segment: a network with more than 15 centers spread over Europe with interface in Russia and USAThis experience is allowing me to follow all the security aspects related to the development of a geographically wide system, from the design up to the current status: operations.Main activities done are:- Business Process Review - System level security requirement definition- Definition of Security Policy- Definition of Security Organization structure- Definition and Implementation of Encryption Key Management Plan- Definition of Audit and vulnerability Process- Definition of a security framework for the identification of common security requirements among the International Space Agency ISS: NASA, European Space Agency, Russian Space Agency, Japanese Space Agency and Italian Space Agency- Public Key Infrastructure: Requirement definition, System Design, Software selection, Coordination of Deployment and Integration with other IAM component in the Ground SegmentToday I'm a member of the ESA ISS EP Security Control Board for o Security Audit and Vulnerability Scanning of the 16 European Centreo Security Risk Managemento Security Technical Support Team Leadingo Policy Definitiono Security Reviewo Security Architecture for new operation requirements
