Strong research professional with a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD/ Dr.rer.nat focused in Biology / Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Georg-August-Universität Göttingen.During my PhD, I have extensively applied various molecular biology and structural analysis methods to take-on challenges related to mRNA splicing. Throughout my transformation into a research scientist, in the leading spliceosome research laboratory at the Max-Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry (MPI-BPC, Göttingen) I routinely purified in-vitro transcribed pre-mRNA and characterized factors that potentially bind and stall the pre-mRNA processing. Foremost task revolved around isolating Ribonucleoproteins (RNPs) and understanding their RNA and protein conformational arrangement by protein purification, yeast genetics and functional assays, and structural analysis (using Cryo-EM). In my current project I have been exploiting anti-sense RNA oligos that specifically bind within the targeted RNA sequences resulting in aberration of splicing, thereby, preventing mRNA maturation process. Furthermore, I also carried out RNA-Protein, Protein-Protein crosslinking experiments to find suitable binding partners, such as, RBM and helicases proteins that can enhance or suppress the RNA splicing.Pharma background provided me the opportunity to serve as a competent and experienced professional pharmacist, and acquired experience of over 5 years in Pharmacy management. I am well conversant with GLP & GPP guidelines, and developed extensive skills; to perform laboratory management, working under aseptic conditions, and to delegate tasks and duties to supervise a small team of Pharmacists. As an executive I oversaw inventory management and maintenance, pharmacy store operations, SOPs (standard operating procedures) designing and implementation. I am good at communication, personnel management, and successfully related to people on all levels of management.
