Project was focused on studying swirl characteristics in case of diesel engine. I was involved in swirl testing of cylinder head, emission testing of engines with different swirl ratios, analysis and interpretation of results. Also I have prepared CFD simulation model which can predict swirl ratio of cylinder head and it has been validated with experimental results. I joined TATA Technology in 2010 as Graduate Engineer Trainee (G.E.T.). My work was based on creating parametric objects library which is being used by big automotive OEM like Ford NA, GM, Tata Motors etc. This task involved in taking inputs from customer understanding their requirements and bulding flexible parametric CAD models. During this tenure I got the opportunity to work on number of softwares like CATIA, Pro-E, NX, Factory CAD, Teamcenter Vismockup and so on.
