TTS peripheral development for VRS system1 Voice Resource System is the resource part of Huawei's Computer Telephony integration solution for Automatic call distribution for call centers. It is also used in Huawei's widely deployed Caller Ringback Tone solution. 2 Text to speech feature of VRS is utilized in several services like playing of current stock market quotes, account statements, playing of anouncements which change dynamically like temperature/weather conditions, live updates of cricket matches etc.3 Led a 10 member team in the development of Text to Speech synthesis project over a period of 7 months.4 Involves using SIP, MRCP and RTP to communicate with 3rd party speech synthesizer. Developed on VxWorks using C.5 Handled media part involving conversion of packet data over RTP into media stream for playing.6 Handled overall responsibility for the timely delivery of the product and also in a technical role during requirement, design, coding and testing phases.

ASR peripheral development for VRS system1 Involved in the development of Automatic Speech recognition project.2 Involves interfacing with the existing Huawei solution to perform speech recognition task using the ASR server provided by third party.3 Use of MRCP V2, SIP and RTP for communicating with the ASR server.4 Contributed from the pre-SRS phase for estimations and design discussions.5 Handled the XML based NLSML parsing for decoding of recognition result from the Speech Recognition Server6 Lead the 3-member team for the conversion of speech grammars from proprietary Nuance format to W3C SRGS format.7 Was awarded the highest performance rating for the period JUN-DEC 2007 for quick and significant contribution towards debugging crash issue on board and resolving the same.

SoftX – part of NGN solution1 Worked on the ISUP part of the signaling stack in Huawei’s NGN solution SOFTX.
