*Develop technical documents such as for Construction and Preliminary drawings primarily for Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage, and Electric Vehicle *Prepare complete engineering plans incl. Single Line Diagrams, Riser Diagrams, Solar Array Roof Plans, Equipment Layout, and Interconnection*Prepare technical calculations such as Cable Sizing, Ampacity Calculations, Electrical Design Analysis such as Load calculations, Voltage Drop, Short circuit calculations and arc flash hazard analysis*Sizing of relevant electrical equipment including cables, breakers, disconnects, panel boards, transformers etc*Supervise and lead the design both sales proposals and construction drawings; Final check designs before submission to the client*Prepare technical sections of sales project proposals, including simulated production data, shading analysis, equipment list, and preliminary site and roof plans*Working with planning and zoning commissions, provide rapid and accurate responses to clients*Prepare minor structural design for frame layouts of electrical equipment*Knowledgeable in USA National Codes (NEC, NFPA, CEC, CFC, CBC and IFC). Strong knowledge in the different AHJ and Utility requirements (LADBS, LA County, Santa Rosa, Santa Monica etc. and SCE, PG&E, LADWP, SDG&E, etc)*Develop working knowledge of current design standards, practices, and legal requirements *Prepare Bill of Materials and Estimation*Supervise Jnr Engineers for design and engineering*Provide engineering support for ongoing projects before and during installation, commissioning, and permitting*Work in a task-based agile environment to meet the project requirements with a high volume of projects and proactive collaboration with clients, building officials and internal teams*Create a process to develop, support and maintain project requirements that aimed at improving process workflow and design optimization*Develop standard AutoCAD templates to ease the designing process and accuracy

- Utilize DXF (CAD) and 3D View from Solar Design Tool: Aurora (Salesforce) to match Sold Designs and reflect them in AutoCAD to determine fitment of PV modules- Provide project descriptions (Scope of Work, Red flags)- Draft Engineering plan sets based from surveyor photos showing Roof, Electrical, and Structural information of customer (residential homes) - Provide Single Line Diagram (interconnection details) based from existing PV system- Review correct Bill of Materials of the solar PV System- Determine the mechanical racking and attachment to be used based from roof and structural details provided- Coordinate with quality checkers, electrical engineers, structural engineers, and stamping teams to accomplish required tasks in salesforce- Basic Structural Engineering skills - Analysis of structure information including but not limited to structure types, rafter size and spacing, max rafter span to verify if existing structural integrity can handle the weight of new PV system- Being keen to details to identify and rectify errors based on Quality Officers (includes State-specified jurisdiction permitting specialist) and relay it with other designers to avoid repeating the same mistakes- Proper Wire and Conduit Sizing (American Standard)- AutoCAD Drafting- Excel Macros Operation- Basic Excel Macros Troubleshooting
