-Created installation and fabrication piping isometrics for the McCain Foods Coaldale Plant expansion using client provided drawings, 3D model and spec sheet. This ongoing project currently consists of over 1100 individual spool drawings and 100 installation/assembly isometrics. -Cross-referenced mill test reports with drawings to ensure every fitting and pipe used can be traced back to its origin.-Deviated from client design when appropriate to minimize installation costs/complexity. (Ex: removing unnecessary pups between fittings / using threaded nipples instead of taking the extra steps to thread our own pipe)-Physically inspected boilers and piping to record heat numbers and create drawings.-Assisted the shop by providing cut sheets which outlines the various pipe sizes, length and end prep for the upcoming set of spool drawings.-Communicated with welders/fitters/boilermakers to help create accurate drawings that they can fabricate easier. Answered questions regarding the drawings.-Handled all other drafting needs of the company including: boiler wiring schematics, structural fabrication drawings, feed water tank fabrication drawings and a 3D model of the in-house water heater design.-Created summarized material takeoffs to receive quotes from vendors when estimating jobs.
