As a Visual Artist Associate, I’ve turned a lifelong passion for creativity and visual learning into a powerful tool for enhancing communication during workshops and events. Reflecting on my childhood, I remember how I instinctively doodled and sketched while taking notes in school. What I once thought was merely a sign of creativity has evolved into a valuable skill that helps others process complex information more effectively. This realisation fuels my commitment to using graphic recording and visual facilitation to support diverse audiences in grasping concepts with clarity.In my role, I engage in designing materials for both online and on-site projects, where I have the joy of capturing live discussions through dynamic visuals. I thrive in collaborative environments, where each workshop I assist is an opportunity to create connections and spark engagement among participants to see that everyone has a little inner artist waiting to come out and help them shine in what they do. My turning point to this journey came when I attended the Visual Facilitation Lab workshop in December 2022. This experience was transformative, allowing me to embrace my perfectionism and understand the beauty of letting organic visuals unfold in real time. It felt therapeutic to realise that the process of creation could be just as valuable as the final product.As I continue to expand my skills through the Apple Teacher Journey, I am excited about crafting impactful visual experiences that resonate deeply with audiences, all while contributing meaningfully to our vibrant team.

As a Creative Graphic Designer at HA Academy, I led a comprehensive rebranding initiative that transformed our visual identity and significantly enhanced brand recognition among clients and stakeholders. By developing a cohesive brand strategy, I established a consistent visual identity across branches like HA Adventure and HA Launchpad, setting us apart from competitors and uniting freelance trainers, internal staff, and management under a shared vision.Collaboration was key; I worked closely with various teams to synchronise brand visuals, updating our voice and image across all platforms. My role included content creation for digital marketing using Canva and Adobe, as well as designing Google templates to empower staff and ensure consistent branding.I coordinated with external partners—brand consultants, video producers, photographers, and web developers—to ensure seamless execution of the rebranding. This led to improved brand recognition, evidenced by positive feedback from clients and trainers about our fresh aesthetics.Additionally, I served as the first Outdoor Education Specialist, developing wholesome outdoor adventure programmes and curricula that integrated environmental, adventure, and socio-emotional learning frameworks. I have also created visual resources, instructional design and fantasy framing to facilitate an improved holistic outdoor learning experience in the market.Ultimately, my role transcended the boundaries of a designer and outdoor educator - I built a strong visual and operational foundation that fostered staff pride and morale, launching the outdoor education team, and united the team towards our shared vision to inspire the youth we serve across Singapore.

As an experiential facilitator, I plan, lead, and facilitate courses for participants from varying backgrounds in these specialities; outdoor experiential learning, environmental education, and positive youth development. As a communication designer, I research and design communication artefacts including visual identity collaterals, publications, prints, and photography.I work with nature and incorporate elements of sustainability, upcycling, printmaking, in my practice.

As an L&D consultant, my role in leading the development of programmes and learning resources requires me to research and analyse trends and societal needs in response to outdoor ethics and education, to design and develop experiential programmes for audience to learn about the rich heritage and appreciate the beauty of Singapore's outdoor spaces while minimising environmental impacts. These programmes take forms of outdoor recreational activities such as camping, trekking, kayaking, cycling, nature & heritage trails, arts & crafts, clean-ups, and outdoor cooking.Putting my design skills into use, my role also include the design of the organisational system for the social enterprise's programme and operational processes. The learning resources of our programme also allowed me to utilise my visual communication skills to create engaging materials to enhance participants' experiences.As a management role in the social enterprise, I am also responsible to craft out training programmes for staff and interns, overseeing their professional development as leaders and advocates for the outdoor ethics. This training incorporated elements from adventure, environmental, and experiential education.

As an outdoor facilitator, I led and facilitated the delivery of outdoor programmes such as kayaking, camping, and nature trails with an advocacy for responsible outdoor practices. In Sep 2018, my role as a Logistics-in-Charge required me to manage operation assistants for a large scale clean-up event with MPA. In June 2019, my roles as a Camp Chief and an Assistant Camp Chief in a series of family camps involved the design, development, and delivery of the programme, as well as managing a team of outdoor facilitators to curate the experience for participants safely and with impact.
