I am recently a graduate at the University of Houston in pursuit of a degree in Supply Chain and Logistics Technology. I've always wanted to pursue a career in technology because of how it interests me of how technology is improving everyday in our lives. I choose Supply Chain because of the opportunities the field has to offer.Before continuing my education at the University of Houston (UH), I was enlisted in the United States Navy as an Operations Specialist. During my four-year enlistment, I operated and worked with electronic navigation and communication equipment. While in the military, I gained skills in self-discipline, leadership, initiative, and critical problem-solving skills. Furthermore, I developed an interest for technology and how technology is used to improve our everyday lives. This interest lead me to pursue for my current degree, Supply Chain and Logistics Technology. Being in the military also allowed me to discover new places and I have begun to enjoy traveling and exploring different cultures. So far, I have had the opportunity to travel to 12 different countries such as the United Arab Emirates and Germany. During my free time, I like to spend time improving my health in the gym or with the UH’s weight lifting organization. I believe that spending time on my physical fitness will also help my mental health by reducing stress and increasing my mental and physical endurance.
