The opportunities I have had to work in the academic and professional setting have broadened my perspective on what design is and can be. I believe that the experience of design, represented in 2D or 3D components, can be attenuated to, directly and indirectly, modulate one's perception and trigger intuitive responses to produce beneficial effects on health and well-being. My academic journey, with the opportunity to experience various cultures along the way, has cultivated a desire to re-integrate naturalistic experiences into the dwelling environment (indoor and outdoor) as they have shown significant impacts on health, well-being, and overall quality of life. My aspiration is to design the human experience at a multitude of scales, creating greater opportunities to flourish in the ever-increasing presence of stress and anxiety that is characteristic of urban lifestyles.
