Doing some very exciting work leading the team responsible for the International Bank of Pancakes - IHOP's first ever loyalty program. This work included a complete ground-up redesign of the mobile apps and the online ordering website. We had a successful launch even with a highly compressed timeframe and we continue to iterate and improve the platform and the user experience.

ProductCamp SD hosts a series of conversation-driven virtual events where the attendees are the speakers and everyone is an active participant. Each event consists of several pre-selected conversation topics held in a moderated video chat breakout room. Attendees share their experiences and ideas, helping each other grow and learn as product professionals.Here I worked with other volunteers on building and growing a community of product managers in Southern California. My primary focus was on helping to drive engagement and growth by identifying and establishing performance metrics, exploring and expanding the use of the conference platform as well as assisting with marketing and social media efforts.

My most rewarding accomplishment at Previon was also my most recent: leading the creation of the company’s cornerstone B2B SaaS product from initial conception and design through development, testing and rollout by working directly with our largest customers to identify opportunities, collaborating with the internal executive team to set product strategy, and partnering with the engineering and UX teams on design and architecture. The product, PCaaS - Preventative Care as a Service, allows clients to efficiently create and manage multi-modal communications with members for patient education campaigns, at-home test solutions and follow-ups, reminders of outstanding health needs and general outreach campaigns. This is all accomplished via an intuitive and powerful interface along with easy-to-understand data insights into the effectiveness of those initiatives. This allows the client to increase communication efficiency and effectiveness and improve their HEDIS ratings, but ultimately and most importantly allows patients to better manage their health care and improve patient health outcomes. After launch, I worked closely with sales and marketing to re-brand the company around the product to create maximum impact in the marketplace. I then continued to consult with clients to allow them to get the most out of the system as well as to identify new opportunities while continuing to iterate on product design with development. There were many successful product ideations and launches along the way, which began with spearheading a cross-functional movement within the company that created a vision for productization of many disparate systems into a unified marketable offering. Additionally, I championed the adoption of Agile concepts and methodologies into the development practice, specifically SCRUM for development and Kanban for DevOps.

Product design and documentation, marketing material creation and development, website design and development, and other business development activities for startup company n3Active. This product aimed to provide a common platform and set of tools to allow a brand to easily create content and applications for web, mobile and interactive TV.

In a role combining business analysis, project management, and development management, directed and managed the design, definition, and development of a large-scale web application to manage the enterprise. The project synthesized many disparate systems and processes together into one cohesive, integrated system, allowing the company to streamline their workflow, and manage their business effectively. Responsibilities included:- Principal design and software architecture - Lead the core development effort (20% hands-on development)- Project planning and functional design- Gather and document business requirements from all levels of user community- Act as the primary liaison between business owners and project team- Maintain product scope and functional direction through the entire software development life cycle - Track and report progress against project deliverables- Directed efforts of DBA Manager, Build Release Manager, Development Manager, 12 Developers, 5 BSA’sThe product was an enterprise class, intranet based web application with an ASP.NET front end, a combination VB.NET and C# middle tier, and a SQL Server back end. This position required overall knowledge of every product detail, and the ability to fulfill multiple roles as required. This project had an overall duration of 3 years, a core staff of over 20 professionals, and a budget of over $7 million.

Responsible for the overall management of business analysis, solution design and end-to-end development effort for client projects as well as internal company infrastructure and operations. Achievements:- Designed and managed development of a custom-built enterprise-class loan inventory management system at New Century Mortgage to help effectively manage their business and integrate many disparate and ineffective systems. Continued project at next employer. - Assisted Marino\Ware manufacturing in defining, selecting, integrating, and implementing an ERP system (Epicor) to allow better management of their business. Overall budget of $1 million plus ERP consulting and purchase costs.- Allowed Seawest Financial to make faster and more reliable lending decisions by designing, developing, and maintaining a custom-made loan processing system as well as the design and development of several internal and external websites. Combined budget of over $4 million over a 3 year period of full-time engagement.
