Employed as head of the design Team; acting as Principal Design Engineer for M&E aspects of Spencer projects. This position involved responsibility for the production of mechanical and electrical building services documentation to meet the demands of both the client and services installer. As well as planning and coordination of the design and implementation process I also undertook inspection of premises, survey works, production of reports, feasibility studies and production of technical papers and specifications.My experience with Spencer covered a broad portfolio of rail works, including designing an extensive 6.6 kV cable renewal scheme in Crewe, working on the design phase of Glasgow’s Partick Interchange redevelopment; a project to deliver a new station for bus, subway and rail services and other major rail projects, including the design of six new stations for Sunderland Metro, depot schemes, PSP supplies and point heating schemes. Other works for Spencer included power and control installations for moving bridges and also power and lighting schemes for major building projects.
