I have contributed to improve constraint-based causal discovery methods, mainly to make them more apt to deal with real-world data. This included a novel conditional independence test with mixed data of any distribution, based on information theory and the minimum description length principle ; dealing with missing data, or making the method more consistent and more interpretable with respect to the final graph.I analyzed real-life datasets from electronic health records to transcriptomic datasets, and developed open-source tools as well as a webserver for interactive visualization for our collaborators and the community.
