Hello! My name is Vincent, and I’m an aspiring Software Engineer.My path to coding is a bit unusual. Having a background as a Pipefitter, I’ve obtained vast knowledge in pipefitting and welding through the years. Extreme environments? Stressful situations? Strong adversity? Been there, done that. Although I’ve loved what I do, I was ready for a change.Which leads me to earlier this year - I took a leap of faith and bet on myself to dare to be different by enrolling in the Fullstack Academy Web Development Program. This program gave me the skills needed to pursue a different career path into the tech field. Those skills include ability to use languages such as JavaScript, PostgreSQL, CSS, HTML5, as well as using frameworks such as React.js, Express.js, Node.js while using common build tools like Git, GitHub, Postman, Heroku, Netlify and NPM.Equipped with my newly developed skills, along with my established ability to work in a group oriented environment, lead a team to complete goals in an efficient manner, and showing perseverance through difficult circumstances, I look forward to progress, and to succeed in my present and future endeavors.
