As a Technical Assistant my role is about improving quality of all of the products at our bakery. I work in a small department of four people. We oversee the quality produced from four Production and Slicing Plants and two Crumpet Plants. Even though it is a small team, as a small department we are responsible for continuous improvement in product quality, also Food Safety compliance throughout the plants by coaching Production, Slicing and Crumpet teams to conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent within the environment.I currently oversee 2 shifts and am responsible for ensuring our products are of the highest and most consistent quality upholding the reputation of a family business nearly 140 years old. It is important that we adhere to Food Safety, Health and Safety and Weights and Measures company guidelines so we remain within the law.Developing teams to understand what corrective actions to use to resolve product quality issues.
