He has held teaching, research and outreach positions at the University of Kentucky, Kentucky State, the Ford Foundation, Southern Illinois University and the University of Santa Maria in Rio Grande du Sul, Brazil. Certified mediator/facilitator (Northern Virginia Mediation Services) and the Supreme Court of Virginia. • He held senior positions with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). A member of the Senior Foreign Service, he served as Agency Chief Program/Policy Coordinator for Humanitarian Assistance, Food Security, Rural Development and Director for Strategy and Portfolio Management for Latin America and the Caribbean region.
