Construction Director on the Riverina Redevelopment Project that is a program of works across three Department of Defence establishments including:Albury Wodonga Military Area (including North, South & East Bandiana, Latchford Barracks, Wirlinga)Blamey Barracks (Kapooka)RAAF Base WaggaThe scope comprises major upgrade or replacement of existing infrastructure and facilities to support Defence capability for the next 25 years. The Project is valued at in excess of $1b and will incorporate a variety of elements including:Construction of new messing and living in accommodationConstruction of new training facilitiesRefurbishment and upgrading of existing buildingsConstruction of new car parksRemedial works and upgrades to infrastructure services

Direct responsibility for the design and construction team for the CBD North Station and all shafts on the Melbourne Metro Project as part of the CYP PPP D&C Joint Venture ($6b AU). (joint venture is an entity formed between John Holland, Lend Lease and Bouygues for the Melbourne Metro Project). Engaged by CYP in a pre construction role to evaluate effective construction strategies that enhance time and cost. Direct responsibility for the Flindersgate commercial office ($83m AU) and fitout of the John Holland office floors ($9m AU). The scope was to Design and Construct a new office building above an existing carpark that had a Heritage Facade requiring restoration.Responsible to lead and complete the design and apply for the required town planning permit and seek adjoining Owners consent to build the new building above, while maintaining access throughout the build program for an operational carpark below the new facility.Direct responsibility for the New Royal Hobart Hospital ($400m AU). This new General Hospital is located in a brown field site that required demolition of an existing block to accommodate a new state of the art facility for the State of Tasmania. The scope also involved planning and integration of early works packages to update several adjoining wings inclusive of a new ring main for MEP services.The team required a senior leader to manage the design and construction Joint Venture between John Holland and Fairbrother (local partner) as the Managing Contractor that negotiated a GMP contract for the total scope inclusive of Design responsibilities.

John Holland, KBR, LXRA and MTM (The Alliance) are delivering the North Western Level Crossing Removal Program.Responsible for the management of the design, procurement and construction teams for all stations in the alliance. The main focus is to deliver cost and time savings across the program and to develop innovative prefabricated options.

Establish new business prospects and relationships within the Victorian Industry. Develop key wining strategies and manage bid teams during the procurement process. Lead and promote the new Kajima partnership with potential Clients and key Industry stakeholders in close consultation with the leadership team.

Contract role with the Senior management team to assist in the establishment of a tier one construction business. The Projects tendered during this time were over $350 million in Government and Institutional sectors with work in hand of $100 million. Broad a Leighton owned business ceased operations in Victoria end of February 2015 due to business changes brought about by the new owners ACS Group.

Contract role with the Senior team on establishing a new business unit focusing on Government and institutional Clientele including drafting a business plan and constructing a project watch list of over $2 billion with EOI's totaling $400M lodged.

In 2011 joined Thiess as the Construction Manager in Building for the Business Unit which covers Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania managing all new projects for the region including the $186M RAAF Base redevelopment East Sale. Also formulated the construction methodology and program for the winning entrant for the Hassell Herzog De Meuron JV, Flinders Street Station redevelopment. Audited and reviewed the winning proposal for the Victorian Governments $800M Regional Rail (Package C) alliance. Part of the preconstruction team that bid for the $600M New Bendigo Hospital (PPP).

Commenced employment with Grocon as assistant Project Manager on the $487M Governor Phillip & Macquarie Towers in Sydney. Following the completion of the two towers then proceeded to work in various management roles in NSW that established the state branch office in Sydney for Grocon including Commercial, Estimating & New Business. In 1997 returned to Melbourne with Grocon working in Property Development roles as JV Representative on the $300M Eureka Tower, and $500 M QV Centre in Lonsdale Street as Project Director on the BHP Billiton Tower. Then proceeded to take on senior construction roles as Contractors representative on the MCG Northern Stand Redevelopment $467M and Defence contracts at Watsonia. Held the Commercial Manager position for Victoria and set up the PPP strategic alliance with Plenary for Grocon that secured, the AgriBiosciences Research Centre $200M and the New VCCC Hospital $1billion. A member of the senior leadership group at Grocon and a member of the Sustainability Committee for the Property Council.
