My journey into the medical world was anything but ordinary. Starting my professional career after college athletics in the automotive industry was a far cry from the operating room.Prior to going back to school at my hospital based program for Radiologic Sciences, I worked calibrations and diagnostic maintenance in the semiconductor industry after a few years working as a mechanic at a Volvo dealership.Since I wanted more fulfilment from my career and a purpose to give more than take from society, I made the decision to go back to school and get my feet wet in the healthcare scene.I completed general radiology practicals ten months early which allowed me the space to go down the hallway and learn endovascular work with my mentor and great friend Dr. Roys. He graciously had me first assisting in many cases as I, somewhat emphatically and insatiably, lapped up every bit of advice and knowledge he walked me through.At this point I knew I was hooked, the specs of devices and compatibilities spoke to my technical mind while truly making a difference in patients lives at the same time spoke to my heart.Immediately after finishing school and passing the national exam I took at job in a multi-modality lab in Colorado doing everything from cardiac catherization, EP, peripheral endovascular, and neuro work.I worked in several similar labs at different hospitals soaking in every bit of procedural knowledge I could. Learning about different techniques and having a passion for the critical thinking that is necessary to complete complicated procedures, I drank deep from the wealth of knowledge provided by each physician I was able to work with. As I made the transition into industry, once again I had felt that fiery excitement due to the new prospect of having interactions with even greater amounts of physicians and endovascular tools.Today I continue my path of learning, finding a new passion in sharing what I've learned from thousands of cases and different approaches with others in an effort to form a partnership that elevates patient care and business satisfaction.Experienced Radiology Technologist with a demonstrated history of working in the Hospital & Health Care industry.
