As the IT manager for Donegal Investment Group plc a holding company that manages a diverse portfolio of companies in Ireland, UK and the rest of the world I am responsible and accountable for ultimately identify and then implementing technology to meet business needs. With over 20 years’ experience in IT at all levels in both manufacturing and the retail area, I have gained considerable experience not only in operations but also project management. I have numerous ERP and infrastructure system implementations under my belt both as a project manager and team member. I have extensive experience in managing IT staff (Contract & Permanent) both in Ireland and the UK covering areas such as recruitment, training, coaching and appraisals).Even though I am an IT Manager for a long number of years I still have extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with networking and server administration. I am passionate about programming and database development and keep my skill up to date in this area.
