I entered the company as a scheduler. Within one month, I entered the role as a truck dispatch coordinator. I was selected to be a part of the office consolidation program and relocated to Georgia from Illinois. I have since coordinated both rail and port moves with various truckers in the North / Northeast market. I have provided customer service through our call center, and taken on additional roles such as reconciling invoices through SAP and researching charges for the customer incurred from the trucker. My day includes dispatching work orders to various truckers in our dispatch system FIS and monitoring work order status through BLUME Global to ensure timely delivery of the cargo. I supply cost efficient solutions to the customer. This job has shown me various challenges the industry faces everyday and how to solve them. I thrive in this high pressure environment that can call for multiple problems and exploring multiple solutions.
