I developed a new crosslinking method for collagen-based scaffolds intended for the regeneration of cartilage injury. I was also responsible for establishing the appropriate cell culture protocol for analysing cell growth and functionalities especially for the fibroblast, chondrocyte, and bone-related cells.

I was mainly tasked to prepare porous biomaterials in my home laboratory that were used as scaffolds for cartilage tissue engineering conducted in National Institute of Materials Science.At this time, I also learned the analytical principal of biochemical and gene expression analysis of cartilage-related tissue-engineered products.

I was tasked to learn the basic of cell culture, including the extraction of primary mesenchymal stromal cells from human adipose tissue and the stem cell expansion and lineage differentiation.I committed the obtained knowledge during this internship into a review scientific article as a concrete proof for finishing the program.
