(Driving / operating permits, blasting licenses and first –aid certificate). • Coach operators in order for them to teach and /or correct unsafe work habits. • Ensuring fatigue management is complied with. • Ensuring that all safety and job-related items are recorded in the Logbook. • Ensuring all accidents, incidents or hazards in the Section are reported and preventative measures are put in place. • Participate in safety investigations in conjunction with the safety department and implement corrective and preventative controls. • Ensuring drilling procedures are followed. • Formulate drilling budget and ensure that drilling costs are optimized • Ensuring productivities and utilization for drilling equipment is maximized • Ensure drilling compliance to mine plan • Work with maintenance team to optimize drilling fleet availability by supporting planned maintenance work, reducing operational damages and ensuring that operator skills are maintained to acceptable levels

• Ensuring that quality control and quality assurance (QAQC) is done on drill patterns through field visits across all the pits at sentinel • Set drills up for the max production by ensuring that patterns are properly cleaned to prevent damage on machine under carriage system.• Monitoring all the patterns to ensure they are drilled to design (Position, depth and direction), no under/over drilling• Ensuring proper drilling sequence on the patterns is followed• Ensuring that all drilled holes are secured by use of collar keepers• Ensure that all drilled holes are dipped by dipping crew before handing over to blasting section• Ensuring that all holes are sleeved before charging to avoid reactivate of emulsion• Monitoring and ensuring that blasting section (BME) charge all drilled holes according to planned tonnages per hole• Monitoring and ensuring that the right in-hole density of emulsion is achieved as planned• Ensuring that all charged holes including re-drills are stemmed to avoid energy lose• Pre and post blast movement monitoring through the use of Blast Monitoring Technology (BMT)• Producing pre and post-analysis blast reports
