My role within the organisation includes:● Present practical science workshops to students from primary level (KS2) to sixth form with an emphasis on Key Stage 3.● Lead the organisation and running of events such as the First Lego League Robotics finals and work on the F1 in Schools finals, Headstart Cymru, Girls into STEM and EESW’s 6th Form Project.● Support students participating in the First Lego League, 6th form project, Girls into STEM and F1 in Schools on an ongoing basis.● Develop and initiate engaging practical STEM activities and workshops in schools. This encompasses designing the educational content in line with the National Curriculum, developing presentations, materials, equipment and collaterals for sessions and liaising with teachers.My primary contributions to EESW’s work in schools include the development of a number of coding and control IT workshops – LEGO EV3 coding and Crumble Controller workshops as well as BBC Micro:Bit introduction and further coding workshops which have been well received across schools and adopted into the curriculum in a number of schools.In recent months I have been developing online content to support teachers and students during the Covid-19 lockdown. Jymka provides children’s active fun classes developing movement and gymnastic abilities in young children. I worked as a Licensed Instructor which involved running classes in multiple locations across Dublin. This involved marketing as well as the execution and administration of classes.

Fitness Instructor within the Fitness Hub centre, leading group classes in various categories; cardio kickboxing, kettlebell training, boot camp, strength and conditioning classes as well as personal training and self-defence classes.In addition, I have coached children’s kung-fu classes, providing safe, fun classes for children (including an anti-bullying programme), developing movement skills, self-confidence, martial skills, discipline and self-respect.

I worked as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant within this school, planning and delivering PE, computing and science lessons as PPA cover for teachers, as well as covering classes when teachers were absent, being responsible for children on excursions out of the school and managing equipment and materials required for classes.

Three month KS2 placement as part of the PGCE course. This involved working towards delivering 75% of the lessons of a year 4/5/6 teacher and taking on more professional responsibilities as a teacher.

I am a qualified 2nd Dan black belt martial arts instructor with the Amateur Sports Karate Organisation and I have taught both children and adult classes. This involved teaching traditional karate, competitive kickboxing and karate, fitness and self-defence as well as athlete development. I have also been involved in the organisation and running of several martial arts tournaments and competitions.
