As a student Chemistry at the RU I followed the Science, Management and Innovation track. Within this track I specialized in the energy transition. For this I followed courses like: Energy Modeling, Innovation Management, Policy and Economics and Bio-economy. My Graduation project was at Alliander, here I studied the possibilities for microgrid (small electrical grids) systems in the Netherlands. In my graduation project I both used a model to simulate different scenarios, and interviews with experts in the field to get an overview of the possibilities for these systems.After graduation my first job was working as a product specialist at Benelux Scienitific. In this job I combined my entrepreneurial skills with the background knowledge of my Chemistry study. I am currently specialized in the field of elemental analysis by X-Ray fluorescence spectrometry.Currently at Malvern Panalytical, I am even more in depth using my knowledge of XRF to develop new applications and help others to get a better understanding from XRF.
