1. Develops implements and maintains methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of PCBAs, sub-assemblies and final assemblies. 2. Evaluates, selects and orders equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacture of Viavi products. 5. Maintains current records on equipment manufacturers’ technical notices, upgrades and safety issues. Studies equipment performance and reliability. 6. Develops and conducts statistical analysis such as Design of Experiments (DOE) and k. Statistical Process Control (SPC) targeting physical cause of failure for yield loss and improving quality.7. Partner with the CM and Viavi Product Engineers to produce effective work instructions for board and box production.8. Take role as Technical Program Manager in Cisco Regional Manufacturing Team, focus on server, small wireless base station, and wirless routers/gateways, Ipphone, Switch, DLP etc 1. Factory Site Technical Quality Metrics ownership and drive metrics improvement. 2. Responsible for Sustaining Yield & YAP management and execution. 3. DRT and LS/LA ownership within Factory Site. 4. Support manufacturing engineering functions at the factories. Manage manufacturing build process and process control validation. 5. Responsible for capacity, cost (TIQ validation), NRE review and approval 6. Responsible product change management (ECO & Deviation). 7. Responsible for context ME management including validation of skill sets and services. 8. Support QBR/MOR scorecard inputs and feedback. 9. --Responsible for the continues improvement from process engineering point of view on the daily basis with assigned EMS/ODM suppliers from MS2 onwards, like productivity improvement, line balance improvement, assembly jig/fixture improvement etc--Collect the mass production experiences about easy manufacturing together assigned EMS/ODM suppliers as the inputs (White Paper) for DFM in the new product design.--As representative from Residence team to support Project transfer between Arts and HT..--As representative from Residence team to support Lean project implementation on site--As representative from Industry team to join regular EMS/ODM supplier audit organized by SQE. --1st level failure analysis of product and/or process together assigned EMS/ODM suppliers and SQE--Process capability improvement at the assigned EMS/ODM suppliers site, like SPC, MSA--Work closely with NPI process engineering team for new projects at assigned supplier side, like supporting the follow up actions & the arrangement of the sample run etc.--Fluent the oral and written English.
