I have 12 years working experience as Industrial Designer, 5 years as in-house designer & 5 years in a design consultancy and now freshly baking something interesting in RPG Commerce.From past experience in Panasonic has given me the opportunity to be involved in global & regional products such as TV, air-conditioner, beauty products & other home appliances. The experience in Panasonic has also given me the opportunity to work closely with product planning, R&D engineers, marketing & sales from initial stage to product launching. Through the yearly product development projects, it has deepened my knowledge in market interest & consumer behaviour from country to country, costing & manufacturing processes. Apart from my daily task, I was also given the opportunity to work with a design consultancy in Milan, Italy & Helsinki, FInland for certain projects as well as I was given a chance to gain experience in Japan Design Centre, Kyoto for a month to be part of the team to kick start a project for flagship TV Design. I was also assigned to be part of the team to work on home shower, ceiling fan, beauty product & air-conditioner, involving product development, packaging design, marketing content creation product visualization & after sales UX/UI design. Throughout first 5 years & a half of my career in Expedio Design, I was involved in many phases of product development from discovery and ideation to conceptual design. I was also given the opportunity to gain experience in market observation research with Intel in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, first-hand experience working as a team to further product development with our client in Shenzhen, China, manufacturer sourcing with a client at Nantong, China.Lastly, through the experience of being a part of a team in Expedio Design, I was given the opportunity to improve various technical skills and character development such as client service, realizing the idea of design for reality and trained eyes for in depth detailing design to time management and team work. Due to the nature of working in an interdisciplinary design consultancy, I have experience in developing various ranges of products such as household appliances, computer devices, sporting equipment, medical products, wearable products as well as packaging design.
