As the Director of Criminal Justice, I lead a team of faculty and staff who are dedicated to enhancing the academic, personal, and law enforcement training development of students. I have over eight years of experience in higher education teaching and administration, as well as an agency trainer background. I hold a Master's degree in International Relations and National Security Studies from Nova Southeastern University, and a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. I have developed and implemented multiple initiatives and programs that promote student engagement, retention, and graduation, such as mentoring, tutoring, advising, and career services. I have also collaborated with internal and external partners to foster a diverse and inclusive learning environment that supports the college's mission and vision. I am passionate about empowering students to achieve their academic and professional goals, and I bring a global perspective and a collaborative approach to my work. In collaboration with FDLE, I take strong pride in changing the mental health awareness program for law enforcement officers to remove stigmas and fears of talking about workplace stressors.
