Growing up, I was captivated by maps and the stories they tell about our world. This fascination led me to study Geospatial Engineering, where I uncovered the power of spatial data to drive real-world change. I quickly learned that maps are more than just tools; they’re a bridge between communities and the insights needed for sustainable development.After earning my degree, I jumped into research, using spatial analysis and remote sensing to tackle big challenges: from urban flood resilience to the links between environment and health. I soon found a new passion—mathematical modeling—where data doesn't just tell stories but can help predict, and even prevent, disease outbreaks.Today, I’m pursuing a master’s in Mathematical Sciences with a focus on malaria modeling, combining my geospatial skills with data science to tackle infectious disease in Africa.
