I graduated with a BA in Intercultural Studies and a minor in TESOL (Teaching English as a Second Langauge) from Lee University in 2020. My major is centered around working cross-culturally and working towards transformational development (healthy economies, social justice, and self-autonomy and worth in individuals) in communities around the world. I have volunteered in a variety of situations and roles from community food outreach, teaching English, and tutoring, to poverty aid. I have worked for CPS Investigations, mainly investigating allegations of sexual abuse and hard drug use. This led to me having some training in trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, testifying in court, case management, compassionate conversations and meetings with children and adult victims, etc. Currently, I work for the Salvation Army on the social services side of operations-planning and executing events and outreach efforts for 5 counties. I assist with long term case management for families under the poverty line per a grant from the state of TN.
