I lead our regional effort to develop a Zero-Emission Vehicle Infrastructure plan, where I convene stakeholder groups, direct analyses of regional EV adoption and access to charging, and author the report. This plan will support regional efforts to facilitate the shift to alternative modes of ground transportation.I assist in the region's ongoing climate action planning, primarily driven by the EPA's Climate Pollution Reduction Grant (CPRG). I contributed to authoring the Priority Climate Action plan, the first deliverable, where we identified a dozen measures to reduce GHG emissions in traditionally hard-to-abate sectors, as well as grant writing for the Phase 2 implementation grant.Additionally, given our nonattainment status for ozone, I am a key member of our transportation conformity team. I collaborate with our consultative partners, including FHWA, EPA, TxDOT, TCEQ, and Houston Metro. I help ensure accurate, updated data input to run EPA's MOVES. I am versed in MOVES and provide model review.

As a member of the Data Analytics & Research department's modeling group, I leveraged the agency's travel demand model to develop and run air quality models in a spatial emissions estimator powered by the EPA's MOVES program. These results support data requests from our regional members and our MPO's transportation conformity determination. I collaborated with our air quality planners to support the agency's deliverables for the EPA's CPRG program. These included the H-GAC Priority Climate Action Plan and a grant application for $160+ million dollars in implementation funding for emissions reduction projects. I work in a number of regional, collaborative work groups such at the Texas Technical Working Group for Mobile Source Emissions and the Regional Air Quality Planning Advisory Council. Also, I am a member of Houston chapter of Young Professionals in Transportation.

I completed a multi-round interview process with members of Lehigh's Athletics' Leadership Development team, to enter this role. I accurately and competently relay crucial messaging to First-Year Student-Athletes (FYSAs).Through weekly discussions about athlete-specific college transition topics, including mental health/stress management, tutoring resources that accommodate athlete's scheduling, goal setting, self-awareness, and professional development, I replace the Univerisity's required orientation curriculum for my group of 11 FYSAs. Time commitments included 15+ hour/semester meetings, multi-day trainings at the beginning of the year, and 1 hour/week for meeting with the FYSAs.

Bududa, Uganda

Fully-funded grant for a month trip researching the environmental and social impacts of coffee production in rural Uganda. I studied the attitudes surrounding export-oriented agriculture and chemical input usage through 32 in-depth interviews with community members and leaders. I asked questions about government interventions in the coffee industry, land availability, patterns of degradation and the connection to fertilizer use, and perceptions of changing climate conditions. I tried to ascertain and clarify patterns interviewees noted of decreasing desire of youths in farming as a career and urbanization.
