I am currently employed at Peoplegro LLC as a Tech Humanist. While the majority of my work involves technology, we at Peoplegro believe that technology is a tool that is beholden to people and not vice versa. While my job involves handling the tech side of things my constant goal is to be in service to our clients through our use of technology. I am extremely passionate about what I do, both within Peoplegro and without. One of my biggest passions is social justice and I put that passion into practice through my photography. I believe every human being has inherent dignity and is deserving of respect and love no matter what kind of "productivity" they generate in our society. People are valuable simply because they exist. I like to illustrate this through my portraiture which often features people who belong to groups that are marginalized within our society. When you can see a specific individual within this marginalized group and see their face I think it humanizes both the individual as well as the group in a way that words simply can not. For one of my portraits in particular I won a National Scholastic Arts Silver Award which places me in the top 10% of over 300,000 participants. This passion for social justice extends to my work at Peoplegro in a unique way. Through what we do we not only provide value to clients within their workplace but also outside of work in their every day lives. Another way of bringing people closer and helping them see and honor the differences in one another is helping people to understand not only how their own brains process information but how their coworkers do as well. Everybody processes information differently which should be acknowledged but the fact that there is no right or wrong way should be acknowledged as well. I have experience in sales as well as in customer service which can be put to use in just about any working environment, one way or another. I have worked in many different types of environments and have been able to pick up each one very quickly. I am eager and persistent learner and I am also willing and able to be an excellent follower when necessary. Being able to be a good follower is somewhat taboo in a society that is all about leadership however, I believe that you can not be a good leader without being able to follow as well.
