Oversee the resin, additive, colorant and recycled materials category of spend for a premier manufacturer of components and structural systems critical to the waste-handling, material-handling, product identification, office furnishings, heavy-truck and transportation industries. Major commodity segments under my direction include polyethylene, polypropylene, nylon, acetal, vulcanizates, recycled resins in addition to color concentrate masterbatches, elastomers, minerals, stabilizers and UV/anti-oxidant packages.

Oversaw key commodities and materials for a world class leader in components and systems critical to the heavy-truck, trailer and commercial transport industries; my responsibilities included cast, machined and plated product as well as molded and electro-mechanical spend categories.

Held stewardship over the strategic supply function for the structural steel and metal fabrication commodity category for a world leader in the compact and light commercial equipment industry. Responsibilities for supply base management included sourcing, contract negotiation, cost savings, program management and establishing and assessing key supply base metrics.

Oversaw the procurement and supply function of a number of key commodities for a global industry leader of industrial pump solutions in critical applications. I was primarily responsible for all cast and machined products, sintered materials, bearings, stampings and compression springs on a tactical basis in addition to program managing sourcing initiatives from PPAP to production launch. I also directed and spearheaded enterprise-wide strategic commodity initiatives that ensured the supply base contributed to the procurement organization’s overall goal to maximize spend and leverage, ensure continuity of supply, achievement of targeted cost reductions and productivity concessions along with the extension of favorable payment terms.

Primarily responsible for the purchasing and supply chain function of a major tier one supplier of high performance, engine and transmission control products to the leading players in the automotive OEM markets; my commodity stewardship had a very strong focus on high precision machining, deep draw assemblies, molded components and electronic applications. I directed the entire RFQ management system, oversaw all strategic sourcing and re-sourcing initiatives, spearheaded all cost reduction programs, negotiated long-term contracts for supply agreements along with the daily tactical duties of securing material requirements, capital, tooling and necessary industrial services to support operations.

Oversaw the quality function of assigned customer products for the world's leading supplier of super alloy investment cast components for commercial and military jet aircraft engines. Responsibilities included measurement and data collection on product material during the various stages of manufacturing and process inputs to ensure these mission critical components met all required specifications for minimized non-conformance to the customer.
