I worked in Maycroft Manor a private residential care home for roughly 5 years. An experienced and well-qualified health care assistant with a thorough working knowledge of residential care including good practice and health and safety standards. Experienced in the care of the elderly and people living with dementia. Able to carry out all aspects of the role from personal care, administering medication, preparing meals and record-keeping and also willing to work according to my agreed rota. I was nominated twice in my previous care home as the Rising star of the year and Lead by Example Award for being a proactive leader, leading my team towards person-centred care by example. I am one of the Infection Prevention Control Champions in the home. I attended clinical training involving Syringe Driver, Catheter, cannulation, Venipuncture, Diabetes and Dysphagia. I started working at Sussex Eye Hospital Theatres (BSUH NHS Trust ) in 2021. I actively participate as a member of the Eye Theatres team and am responsible for completing all the tasks allocated to me. I'm helping the Scrub Nurses and operating Practitioners to prepare and lay up trolleys for the operating lists as required, assisting with the cleaning tasks, errands and general duties appropriate to the clinical area as required including removal of soiled linens, cleaning up body fluids, cleaning, restocking stock room equipment as required and doing the circulation, collect specimens and record information in theatres specimen book, frequently push and pull theatre trolleys and or wheelchairs from theatre to Pickford ward. I can set up basic trolleys ready for Cataracts, Vitrectomy, Plastics, Squint and other eye operations. As a team player, I am willing to attend and undergo in-depth knowledge and how this applies to different categories of people in care. I completed my Care Certificate last February 2022.
