I serve as CEO and Chief Storytelling Officer at Lü Interactive Playground, a Canadian ed tech startup that transforms K-12 learning spaces into immersive learning environments. Responsible for Lü’s vision and culture, I am actively involved in product and business development in order to lead the company to meaningful and commercial success.I first took an active interest in children’s education when my young daughters were about to start school. I discovered a vast ecosystem of talented educators, teaching in physical environments that looked the same as when I went to school. Having previously founded an interactive design studio, I began thinking about physical learning spaces where teachers are empowered to stimulate children through immersive play and stories.Inspired by ​a physical education teacher who improvised an "interactive" wall with an iPad and projector, Simon St-Hilaire and I created a prototype and set about validating it in the real world with teachers and school children.When a video of our demo received nearly a million views and shares, and journalists from around the world reached out to schedule interviews, Lü was born.Founded in 2017, Lü is now a world-class team of more than 50 people who provided nearly 1400 hardware units and 50 educational modules to schools in more than 35 countries. In the process, they have touched the lives of more than one million children and positively transformed the world of education.
