Specialty in treatment of mood disorders with focus on depression and bipolar disorder. Board certified as PMHNP-BC and clinical nurse specialist PMHCNS-BC. I have been a critical care nurse, nursing supervisor, director of nursing, staff nurse and traveling nurse. I am a Viet Nam veteran and served as a corpsman with both the US Navy and US Marines. I have a long held interest in anthropology and worked as a volunteer in Africa when I was in college. I speak, read, and write Spanish but don't use skill as much as I should. I am a voracious reader and enjoy both fiction as well as non-fiction. I enjoy music of all kinds and am told I play a mean air guitar. I play golf, ride my bike every now and then and like going on road trips when I can. I am a dog lover and am honored that Jethro and Ellie May let me be one of their humans.
