Vincent Pham is a PhD candidate at UT Health San Antonio and the Co-Founder and CEO of Powerhouse Therapeutics, a biotech company started by scientists at UT Health San Antonio. Powerhouse Therapeutics is dedicated to turning cutting-edge research into groundbreaking therapy platforms that can change the way we treat some of the toughest cancers. Their lead product is a unique cell-based platform designed to target and destroy solid tumors, especially those that are resistant to current treatments. This platform tackles diverse cancers on multiple fronts, offering new hope to patients who have run out of options.Vincent earned his undergraduate degree in biology from The University of Texas at Austin. Afterwards, he joined the lab of Dr. Gang Huang for his graduate studies, where he currently works on tumor immunology and cancer metabolism. He is also the inventor of this innovative therapy, which is specifically designed to fight and eliminate aggressive tumors that don’t respond to standard immunotherapies. His research also focuses on cancer-associated cachexia, a severe condition linked to advanced-stage cancers that causes rapid physical decline and makes treatment even harder.Vincent combines his deep scientific knowledge with the business acumen he gained from managing a cattle ranch to build a biotech company that aims to make a real difference for patients battling the deadliest cancers.In his free time, Vincent enjoys hunting on his East Texas ranch, traveling around the world, and attending music festivals.
