As a tenured leader, a doctoral student, a licensed nursing home administrator, and a current American College of Healthcare Executives member, I am passionate about delivering exceptional service and clinical support to our seniors, particularly our U.S. Military veterans, and ensuring the long-term care facility's fiscal health and operational excellence. I have managed a campus of five nursing homes, giving older adults the power of choice. For example, I have initiated relationships with area healthcare organizations, secured preferred provider status, and created a conduit for communication to support the clinical needs of each elder. In addition, I advocate for veterans' benefits, frequently communicating with state and federal agencies to ensure veterans receive the financial coverage and support for the care they so deserve.★ ★ ★I was driven to enter the field after being exposed to the industry while caring for an aging parent. I witnessed the passion in the team members serving my mother; based on my leadership and operations background, I also saw significant opportunities for change.
