Joined to first manage the Fung group Innovation team from an operation perspective, before becoming its leader. Under the Advance L&D team called the Fung Academy, supported innovation programs across Horizon 1, 2 & 3 for the different businesses of the group - with the aim to build new products, processes or services.Co-built EXPLORIUM HK - a landmark innovation hub in the ecosystem of Hong Kong, with the mission to inspire the group, develop capabilities, and foster partnerships. 12 Proof of Concepts supported with our award winning Pilot2Scale program; reaching an external community of 1900, Created more than 60 touch-points & experiments - https://medium.com/Explorium .Designed and delivered the Innovation Champion program - based on the catalyst model - to identify, coach and support internal talents, driving a company culture change. Using Design Thinking and more specifically Rapid Prototyping, "built" 10 champions in 6 months, which trained and coached 200+ staff within one vertical BU.Heightened Open Innovation, in and outside of the organisation by running 10 challenges that have reached 2300+ members, creating opportunities for 9 POC, and generating a wide number of process improvements.Implemented the smart wearable program called Wearware, defining new customer focus products, IP and services around the usual portfolio of the Fung Group customers (Disney, Porsche Design, Kate Spade...). Built SmarterThread, a community-fed platform to share knowledge around advanced material with Designers, Merchandizers and customers.

Amplified the design leadership of the Wearables category, moving away from the default “copy/paste” to re-learning the design process and developing truly independent ideas.Led the Design development and finalisation of the Huawei Watch 2, the Band 2, the Watch 3 and the Honor Band 3 driving Huawei to become the second largest manufacturer of wearables in 2017/18 behind Apple, and in front of Samsung.Re-established the link between the industrial team with the related Technological and Marketing functions to ensure a unified product proposition across all consumer touch points through functional visibility and operational excellence.Defined and enforced product graphic guidelines for all non-mobile products through a handful of design principles and a clear implementation checklist.

Progressed from Design Account & Project Manager to Sr. Program manager(Apr ‘07), to Operation Director (from Apr ‘08) and Design Director (from Oct ‘12) in 11 years with Philips Design.As Design & Project manager: "sold" and delivered through a matrix team all design elements of about 40 new products per year to Philips Domestic Appliances, Consumer Electronics and lighting, leveraging our CDO's - Stephano Marzano - High Design Process.As Design Director: represented the design function at several BU leadership teams, owning the design budget and guiding the creation of new product propositions from inception (trend forecast, insight generation...) to final execution (across product, UI/UX, Packaging and Marcom) - generating an average of 30 Red Dot, iF, DFA, Good Design awards per year.Transformed the sunset Home Telephony category with the BU lead, bringing back profitability, through a blank-page rethink of the product range, construction & design, comms & packaging. Additionally co-created the category of Design Phone, driving margins of 50%+ .After Philips sold the license of the Consumer Electronic business to Gibson Innovation, managed the design of several categories with the brand license team to continue pushing the boundaries of a relatively restricting brand guideline.As Operation Director: managed operation of this highly seasonal design Studio by resourcing, procurement, strategic insource or outsource; budget forecast and activity monitoring with a budget of up to USD 18M and 120+ FTE spread between internal and freelance.Supported the development of the "Design Project Management" function for Philips Design global in the PMI framework.Redefined strategic sourcing with Design leads to manage the high seasonality of our business.Transformed our processes to pass the Design function through the ISO 9001 certification.
