I am a versatile, dynamic Scale-Up and R&D manager with a strong technical background gained over many years in various R&D roles.I demonstrate excellent personnel and project management skills, possessing strong motivational drive to succeed in the chemical & inkjet industry. Ink Productisation ManagerXennia Technology Jul 2011 - Nov 2013LetchworthSimilar to my current Ink Scale-Up Manager role, as the Ink Productisation Manager at Xennia my role consisted of enabling a smooth transfer of products from the chemists to the manufacturing plant. In this role I was part of the R&D team and involved at all stages of the development to ensure the products being developed were scalable and commercially viable from the production point of view.I partnered with a number of key industry machine suppliers including Netzsch, Buhler, Silverson and Dispermat to align the processes in the lab with the ones in manufacturing. I was also instrumental in moving the R&D team away from sourcing raw materials from fine chemical suppliers like Aldrich to industrial supplied chemicals while maintaining the quality to the highest level. In some cases the industrial supplied chemicals were less than 100th of the price of the fine chemical supplier.

During that time my responsibilities steadily increased, managing a team of eight people, visit global customers and oversee the development of a number of critical formulations.Responsible for all the stages during the ink development, including the formulating, physical and application testing, jetting and waveform development, and the transfer to production.I was the primary technical contact for global inkjet OEM customers. This included regular contact with external customers, partners and internal commercial colleagues. This gave me considerable experience within the commercial environment. -
